The Asiapower AP-YH Series 33kV Polymer Surge Arrester is the frontline defense for electrical infrastructure. Choosing Between 5kA and 10kA

While both classes provide protection, the optimal choice depends on the system’s fault current level and protection requirements:

  • 5kA Class (AP-YH5W): Typically used for lower-fault-level lines and less critical equipment.

  • 10kA Class (AP-YH10W): Ideal for high-fault-level environments, distribution transformers, and areas with higher overvoltage risk.
